Convergent Ladybug beetles (Hippodamia convergens) are common found in agricultural areas such as the San Joaquin Valley of California. They are commonly seen as a beneficial insect as they feed on aphids and other plant sucking insects. From spring through fall, ladybugs are primarily solitary. The following images are of adult ladybugs.
